Sheila Wong Business Manager

Sheila Wong is the co-founder of BBW International, the first company to provide front-line staff for the trade show and convention industry on a national basis in Canada. Together with her partner, Henk Bok, they set the benchmark by which other services are measured in North America. Innovation is the key to the success of BBW over the past 15 years in business. Knowing what their clients want has been BBW’s unique ability in setting up new services and products to meet these needs. TickExTM a consumer show ticketing system is another of these innovations. Currently BBW employs 1000 front-line workers with 10 on their management team. Head quartered in Toronto with satellite offices in Vancouver (serving Victoria), Calgary (serving Edmonton), Ottawa, Montreal, and Halifax).

Prior to becoming an entrepreneur, she studied at the University of Calgary and York University, obtaining degrees in Education and Business. She worked at Expo ’86 in Vancouver as an Ambassador for the Alberta Pavilion and volunteered at the 1988 Calgary Winter Olympics in Community Relations. Actively involved in the trade show industry, Sheila has served on the Board of the Canadian Association of Exposition Management for the past 5 years, with 2 years on the Executive Committee as Treasurer. With Canada’s top trade shows in their portfolio, BBW has worked with the Global Petroleum Show, Canada Blooms, One of A Kind, Interior Design, Ontario Hospital Association, Canadian Gift and Tableware Association, Canadian Manufacturing Week, Truck World, Microsoft, to name a few.
